Most batteries are NiMH now, now instead of NiCD. So no you should be fine with that charger you have. Over charging is probably going to be a bigger issue than discharging.
I think there can still be benefits of discharging NiMH batteries, but they dont really have the loss of life issues older NiCD batteries do.
tl:dr That charger is fine.

dont underestimate discharging. its very important. most smart chargers will have a discharger built into them (mine does not ) they will not charge correctly if not discharged before you charge them. i threw away a battery already assuming it was dead because it would lose charge by the morning when i charged it the night before. i assumed it was just a bad battery and got rid of it (didnt care since i was using a lipo anyway) when it happened to another battery that was brand new i got worried. so with it completely dead, i charged it on the standard wall charger it came with and it worked fine. the charger you have is certainly good for stopping when its full, but it may not have a discharger built in (at least it wasnt in the description). so just to be safe you should try to shoot till its empty after games. lipos on the other hand do not require discharge. and offer an extremely high rate of fire. so i highly recommend making the switch to lipo at some point. they are expensive and need a special lipo charger but well worth the investment. a lipo and charger will run you about $55-80

I got a lipo an it's amazing. My real sword ak' rate of fire is insane with that thing. I actually had to modify the inside of the wooden stock to for it. I needed to hallow out about 1/2 inch extra for it to fit. What I want to know is how well do you think real sword gears will hold up to the lipo? It's lipo ready out of the box, just after firing it I was kinda scared by the power I got from it. Just want to know what I'm getting myself into with this monster of a battery.

The gears will wear out faster, but only because they're being used faster. Theoretically anyway: the gears wear down slowly from normal use, lets say for the sake of argument, 10,000 bbs. The lipo will go through 10k quicker than a NiMH but not any differently.
The gears can handle a 140 spring, metal bushings, good shimming is typically what "lipo-ready means".
That's why Jordan melted his bushings, and I had to replace my gears.
You will probably want to check the gearbox and make sure its cleaned and regreased eventually (not sure on on how often though)

Ok thanks. My big concern is that it's a custom gearbox so if I were to have any stripped gears it would come down to either finding that custom sized RS gearbox or replacing the broken gears. I should really take apart my m4 gearbox to are what it's like because I really have never handled an open gearbox.
That battery I got from evoke is a beast though. Can't wait to try it out this weekend.

Evike and Redwolf both carry Real Sword replacement parts should that ever be the case. If Airsoft GI ever gets off their asses and starts carrying Real Sword I'm sure they would too. hint hint, dicks.

Ok cool. Agreed. My new lipo makes me so trigger happy! It's so fast I just want to shoot it! Think I go through mags fast just wait and see. Haha

I used to fire barely 200 rounds a game. Now, with my lipo, I fire nearly 2000 a game. This may be the cause of my gear issues as holding the trigger down for 100 rounds may be a little much. Just remember to do bursts if your not using high caps.

Yeah in trying to get into the habit of shooting bursts more often anyway. Better accuracy, conserve ammo, and help with the overall lifespan of your parts

buy a custom mosfet with 3 round burst. or learn to make your own. its like $80 to buy one. but like $10 if you buy all your own parts and know how to make some fancy circuits. lets get tom on that one
