Has anyone painted their AEG before, not just the orange tip but the whole gun in a camo pattern. Can you just spray paint it, or do you have to take the whole gun apart?

i painted the first aug i had. it turned out ok-ish. i would take it apart as best you can first. that way you can ensure a more even coat and less dripping. it was all plastic though so if youre painting metal you may have a different experience. just check the paint youre getting to make sure itll stick to whatever youre spraying

I painted my M4 and SIG recently, I didnt do a camo pattern, but just a solid color on individual parts. Anyway, Krylon makes camo spray paints, they are super flat, and are the correct OD, RG, Khaki, etc colors. They turn out really nice on metal and plastic, I'll post some pictures later.

That might be the way to go. I liked the look of your paint job, if I can make a digital pattern I might try this.

digital is gonna be a pain. takes a lot of planning to make it come out right. id say give it a base coat then if you thought it was easy enough and turned out good, then continue with the other colors on top

I found this tutorial on youtube, very work intensive... I need to buy some camospray paints as well, so if you want to we can go in on this together since I'll want to paint my m4 at some point.

Is this the m4 that you are going to turn into the honey badger?
