Any thoughts on which one is better than the other? Ares M4A1 Full Metal www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6791Matrix M4A1 Full Metal www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32424Ares seems to have a better external construction and quick spring switch, but a weaker gearbox and lack of fuse for a lipo battery. Matrix seems to have a cool outer barrel, slightly better internals, but a weaker external setup and a less reputable brand/site selling it. I might be completely wrong in that assessment too, please keep me honest. Arguments for other similar M4s are of course encouraged.

Evike has turned their shit around as far as my experiences have gone so I wouldn't worry about that.
As far as M4's go make sure you think hard about abs plastic vs. full metal. Sometimes the extra weight isn't quite worth it. Depending on your playstyle sometimes it is better to have something light to sling around.
I can't offer advice on which of the two to go with; I haven't used or seen either. The only M4 I can vouch for is the one I just sold; G&G Combat Machine M4.

That quick spring release, it's the bees knees. You can upgrade the internals.
Matrix is basically JG, and JG is also very reliable. Ares seems to be hit or miss. But man... Easy spring. So awesome.
