That will be awesome. I love the magpul grip. I always wondered though, what's the point of the buffer tube without a stock? I always thought it looked a little awkward

well most m4 bodies have about a 2-3in nub (including mine) so if i wanted to get rid of it id need a whole new body. but there are a few "stocks" that are just a cover for it and a sling loop

Buffer screw helps keep the gear box in place. So keep that if you can, you should know that though.

looks like i somehow made this an announcement?
anyway... looks like i need a few more pieces. i took apart the m4 today and made a few discoveries. im gonna need some new bushings. they were metal but they are bearing bushings and one of them had the outer cap that keeps the bearings in come off (tapet plate rubs against it). it still works fine but its only a matter of time till it falls apart. also the screw holding the mag release together was fairly stripped when i tried to take it out and only more so now. its barely back on. so ill get one of those too.
as for the buffer tube. yeah im probably just gonna get a regular screw and stick that in there for now. i really dont see why a stupid little end cap costs $40. theres gotta be a cheap one somewhere
side note: taking apart the m4 really made me appreciate my aug and p90. both of them only need two screws and the gearbox comes right out. luckily 90% of my upgrades are external

really dont feel like rewiring to the front so i think im gonna go with a buffer tube with an end cap. that takes away the need for a peq box. i put the mag catch in (took a while cause i had to file my allenwrench to fit) and i love it. its an ambidextrous one so you can change mags from either side (dumb missing feature on the regular catch) foregrip is still on the way. should be here in a day or two. cant wait for that. so updated plans should look like this: Attachments:
