So, I have been in the market for a CQB gun just in case and I think I might be selling my mp44 at some point. So I thought maybe I would start working on a custom job. I am interested in building this guy.
It's seriously called the Honey Badger.


I'm really not sure on anything yet, like what base model to use... Someone on another forum suggested an ICS CXP but I'm not sure.

What silencer I should use?
Is there a foregrip that would look like this one that will maybe also hold the battery?
Does that type of crane stock even exist?
Paint the body with a silvery gold paint? or tan at least.
This will be my first building adventure and I want to try and get it very close to the original.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You picked one hell of a gun to try and replicate. The only thing in that picture you'll be able to buy stock is the P Mag and the silencer.

I dont really feel like working today so I'll look around for you and see what I can find.

I really would like the hand guard and suppressor to look exact, it would also be great if the silencer was removable for indoor or outdoor games but that might be pushing it..., but the stock would need to fit a battery, because I don't want a peq box.

There is not a tube style hand guard that will hold a battery. The particular stock that the honey badger uses is not available in airsoft as far as I know, it appears to be a custom for that rifle.

That would allow you to get the correct top rail, foregrip, and barrel, and the closest you will come to that style stock.

Oh nice, I didnt realize those front kits had a top rail. Jordan used to have a silencer like that, not sure if he still has it.

It would definitely be easy enough to remove the silencer for CQB, but you'd either have to have two barrels and hop ups you swap, or just deal with the short barrel for the field games, which probably wouldn't be that big of a deal.

So for the body, should I be starting with an M4?

Yeah, besides for that black bar that lines up with the stock, it looks like a pretty standard M4 receiver.

Pimp my gun didn't have the Jp Handguard, and the stock is going to be an issue one way or another.

this may help. not quite the same handguard. but it may be cheaper when it comes out. the jp seem to all be 130-150 if even in stock

this custom build on airsoftgi looks really close. The stock is still wrong though. In fact, I have no idea what is going on with this stock

This is good, but I would still have to replace some things, I have an m4 now, I just need to buy the hand guard and rail kits eventually, but for now, I just have an m4.

BTW the stock is just a buffer tube, it makes it really light and un-encumbering.
